Cunndal is a small bay near the village of Eoropie in the Isle of Lewis. It was the scene of a tragic accident in 1885, which led to the drowning of twelve fishermen from the village. Of these, only the skipper's body was recovered from the sea.

Local photographer Katrina Raeburn has posted an image of the memorial on the Internet, and I'm happy to credit her with the below image, taken today (2 December), in obviously snowy conditions.
