I've not found out much about these two Herring Girls. It looks like they are life-sized.
From the Stornoway Amenity Trust's website
http://www.stornowayamenitytrust.co.uk/herring_girls.asp
Herring Girls commemorated: The work of women in the heyday of the Herring fishery has been marked by the Amenity Trust with the commissioning and installation of two statues, one on North Beach Quay and the other on South Beach Quay. Each has been landscaped as a feature with associated herring barrels and stone paving. _________________ Scottish War Memorials Project
