I don't suppose this is of any great architectural merit (I am not one to judge) but the visitation of Cholera to this small town for 10 weeks in 1832 took 440 lives. Makes you think!

It makes you wonder how many other towns in Scotland suffered outbreaks like that?
The wording is interesting. It's not just a memorial to those who died but it is also a warning to future generations.
