Singers' Monument
Location: Opposite St Andrew House, Calton Hill

Sculptor: William Grant Stevenson of Ratho
Unveiled: 1894

Unfortunately it is partly obscured by foliage. Apart from the names in the scrolls beneath the wreaths There are no inscriptions other than "In Memoriam" and "1825-1866" to give a clue about who these men were.

This is in fact a monument to three church precentors based in Edinburgh in the nineteenth century. John Wilson, John Templeton & David Kennedy.
