The stones are now housed in a museum next to the Kirkyard where they originally stood. Adult entrance fee is £3.20.

This stone stood on a tumulus at the front of the Kirk and the site was traditionally believed to be the burial place of Vanora / Guinevere.
This is believed to be an image of Daniel in the den of lions. The sign describes it as a brutal depiction of him being torn apart but to me it looks more like they're licking him, and the story is that they didn't attack him.

love the cat!
No 25
one of the simplest, but one of my favourites.
No 26
Another of my favourites. Not sure if you'll see this well, but the motif on the side of the stone in the centre is particularly interesting!
again, the artists skill in showing the horses is amazing.
all he needs is a speech bubble!

Lots of very interesting carvings there. There must have been many weird and wonderful animals in Scotland or Pictland all those years ago if you believe the stones. They did do horses really well though.
I agree with you about Daniel. Licking, not tearing lions.
No.26 is quite interesting as ou say. Not what you'd expect amongst all the Celtic Crosses!
