One of four Stoddart Statues created for the Italian Centre. The other three are on the roof of the building but this one is at ground level and the finish on the base is suffering for it.

Since Mercury was a Greek God is this statue an Italian dressed as Mercury? The statue's name is 'Mercurial' and not Mercury. Mercury sits above John Street.
