Born in Edinburgh but raised and now based in Paisley, Stoddart’s most recent public sculptures in Scotland have been unveiled in his native city.
His latest is the James Clerk Maxwell monument unveiled yesterday (25th November 2008) in George Street.
The others in Edinburgh are
Adam Smith Monument, High Street
Robert Louis Stevenson, Corstorphine
David Hume, High Street
Apart from the Edinburgh statues he has one in Paisley (with a copy in Princeton) and another in Kilmarnock. He has also done quite a few busts.
Looking up his c.v. on his website he has been prolific and is he doing quite a lot of work in the USA at the moment.
