Location: Central Glasgow,
Saint Andrew's Square, G15 5PP.

Architect: Wlliam Hamilton

One of Glasgow's hidden jewels tucked in by the Saltmarket. The square was planned and built in 1786 - 87 by architect William Hamilton who was an assistant to Robert Adam. The Georgian houses which backed the church were later demolished and replaced by warehouses which have now been re-developed into flats.
St. Andrew's in the Square must be one of the most finely proportioned churches in Scotland.

The weather vane.

The pediment also boasts one of the finest Coat of Arms in the city, unusually with an added grotesque mask beneath.

One of the re-developed buildings on the south side of the square was a tannery.
