A stone placed in this central churchyard to commemorate when the Scottish Parliament sat in the City of Aberdeen 28th – 30th May 2002






In 2002 the new parliament building at Holyrood had not been finished and because the Church of Scotland wanted their building on the Mound in Edinburgh back for the General Assembly the Scottish Parliament had to temporarily find a new home.

The Parliament took the opportunity to sit in Aberdeen and it sat in the King's College Conference Centre, King's College, University of Aberdeen.
